The apartment I stayed at Ulitsa Smolenskaya d. 10, Moscow, from August 22nd until September 4th, 2023, was in a unacceptable condition. It was a worn-out apartment, dirty and old. It had nothing to do with the photos posted by the administrators on ostrovok.ru site. The behaviour of the administrators (+79257111345 /+79851867859 ) was most unfriendly, and couldn't speak a word of english language although it was stated that they do.
The apartment's condition was as follows: 1/Dirty carpet in the corridor, 2/Mouldy bathroom shower cabin, 3/Backed up bathroom sink, 4/Half broken entrance door, 5/No light in the living room, no bed-side lights, 6/Dirty balcony with a rusted table and a dirty chair, 7/The bed sheets had not been changed and I found sesam seeds and a half pill in the bed!!! The pillows were unbearably smelly. 8/For three days I had no internet connection because they hadn't paid the bill. 9/The administrator came after 7 days with an electrician to fix the lights with a most unfriendly attitude.
Worst of all: because my flight arrival was delayed by one hour, no one was waiting for me at the apartment to give me the keys. Fortunately a Muscovite friend who came to pick me up from the airport could speak in russian with the administrator. She asked him to transfer the sum of 5000 rubles as a deposit to her account (Марта Олеговна +79257111345 C Альфа залог 5000 руб) in order to tell us where she had hidden the keys of the apartment. My friend transferred the money from his bank account. After my departure my friend called them and asked the refund of the deposit, but they told him they don't want to speak with him! I asked the administrators by email (kvararenda@gmail.com) to refund the deposit to my friend but I got no answer from them!!!
It was dirty.
The staff was most unfriendly.
Street noise was unbearable. I couldn't sleep at night.
